My Uncle Remus was once known as the guy who could sell ice to Eskimos. In reality, he ate a lot of Eskimo pies and drank a lot of beer, ‘tho not at the same time, and never set foot in Alaska. It was Aunt Harriet that could steer local businesses to advertise on our radio station, god rest her sweet soul. Local business support is critical to our sustainability.

What If We Could?

The answer is: “Together we can!” So says Rys Fairbrother. He is trying to make the process easier for people to help non-profits in Central Oregon through his organization, What If We Could. His one-man operation partners up to help them be more successful. Read all about it in this Source Weekly article.

JiveRadio is happy to help get the word out to this effort. It’s about small donations helping local people. You’ll be hearing Rys with his picks of the week and we urge you throw them some of that great Jive energy. I mean, toothbrushes and socks for our seniors in need, how hard could it be to solve that!? Please PASS THE JIVE!

NOPE—IT’S FOR GEEZERS!

Besides our new Android & Apple apps due out any day now, we’re piling on the social media bandwagon. Well, not ALL the way, that would take touching the Facebook flame, which we’ll avoid like some bad tuna. However, we’ll be pushing out the blog posts from this website to our Tittwer army. What’s that? You say it’s Twitter? Ok then. You can now follow the Jive tweets @jive_radio —direct from Jive HQ where we have a whole different interpretation of the term “hashtag”.

New APP is on the way!

Our old iOS and Android apps have expired. We need make room for the new app. The Android version is due out (in the Google Play Store) in a day or so. The iOS/Apple version may be in the (Apple) store by Friday, but probably early next week at the rate it’s going.

Sorry for the trouble. In the meantime, our trusty web player over there on the right of this page should work just fine.
