The Quebe Sisters (pronounced: kway-bee) return to Central Oregon’s Tower Theatre this Sunday (March 10) for one show only. We’ve been playin’ a cut of their’s with Willie Nelson for awhile now but this return date really cranked our necks towards their triple-fiddle front mixed with Andrews Sisters-like vocal harmonies. A certifiable Jive Cool act playing locally in Bend not to be missed. Ticket info HERE—be sure and tell ’em you heard about it on the Jive.

My Uncle Remus was once known as the guy who could sell ice to Eskimos. In reality, he ate a lot of Eskimo pies and drank a lot of beer, ‘tho not at the same time, and never set foot in Alaska. It was Aunt Harriet that could steer local businesses to advertise on our radio station, god rest her sweet soul. Local business support is critical to our sustainability.

NOPE—IT’S FOR GEEZERS!

Besides our new Android & Apple apps due out any day now, we’re piling on the social media bandwagon. Well, not ALL the way, that would take touching the Facebook flame, which we’ll avoid like some bad tuna. However, we’ll be pushing out the blog posts from this website to our Tittwer army. What’s that? You say it’s Twitter? Ok then. You can now follow the Jive tweets @jive_radio —direct from Jive HQ where we have a whole different interpretation of the term “hashtag”.

Our old iOS and Android apps have expired. We need make room for the new app. The Android version is due out (in the Google Play Store) in a day or so. The iOS/Apple version may be in the (Apple) store by Friday, but probably early next week at the rate it’s going.

Sorry for the trouble. In the meantime, our trusty web player over there on the right of this page should work just fine.
