The Gorge will be Jive silent for (at least) another week
So sorry to report that our KJYV (The Dalles/Hood River) outage will be another week of static. The ice has melted, the site is accessible and replacement parts are now at the site but the (old & used) replacement transmitter requires a re-wiring of the electrical panel. Our tech can’t make it back until Monday March 7, so we wait, hope and keep our fingers crossed.
Such is the state of ‘Cheers & Lowbucks Radio” !

SESSIONS WITH SISTER TINY – effective 2/22/22 show is moving to Tuesdays & Thursdays 9a-noon (currently on Tue & Thu 4-7p). Saturday’s SESSIONS will remain 6-9pm.

Our crack technical team reports rime ice over a foot thick on our antenna/pole at Stacker (KJYV transmit site above The Dalles). Good news is, no apparent major damage to antenna. Working on possible backup antenna soon.
Our Bend booster equipment is in place and working but final adjustments need to be made before we can fire it up. Hopefully in mid-Feb.. Such is the saga of Cheers & Lowbucks Radio!
